La lutte contre le paludisme a connu des avancées décisives ces dernières années. Certains pays (l'Ethiopie, le Rwanda, le Brésil, le Vietnam…) peuvent annoncer après seulement quelques années d'action intensive, des résultats allant jusqu'à une baisse de moitié de leur mortalité infantile.
